The massacre of Muslims by Israeli government is moving forward from Palestine to Lebanon. According to the Lebanon government, almost 45 people were killed in the southern city of Sidon on the last weekend. keeping the recent advancements by Israel in view, the international community has called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
Reportedly, Israeli genocide has reached Lebanon from Gaza. According to the Lebanon Health Minister, almost 45 people were dead while 70 were wounded in the recent Israeli attack on Ain Ed Delb the southern city of Sidon Lebanon till Monday, September 30, 2024.
As per further details, Israel started attacking Lebanon from Monday, September 23, 2024, with the aim of targeting Iran-backed group Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrullah and his safe haven in Lebanon. According to the Lebanon authorities, more than 500 people have been killed so far, including women and children, while 1800 people are wounded in the Israeli air attacks.
On Monday, September 30, 2024, British prime minister’s spokesman Keir Starmer issued a statement and called for the immediate ceasefire. He said that “We are ironclad in our support for Israel’s right to self-defence. But our very clear message now is, on all sides, (for) all parties to show restraint. We want to see all sides step back from the brink. Any further escalation must be avoided. A ceasefire will provide the space necessary to find the political solution that is necessary to secure peace in the region.”
According to the Agencey France-Press, a meeting between Lebanon Prime Minister Najib Mikati and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot was held in Beirut today. During the meeting, Najib Mikati called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
Najib Mikati also issued a statement from his office “The key to the solution is to put an end to the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and to revive the appeal launched by the United States and France in favour of a ceasefire.”
On Monday, September 30, 2024, Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani issued a statement “There is no need to send extra or volunteer forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Lebanon and fighters in the Palestinian territories have the capability and strength to defend themselves against the aggression.”
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned all the actions of Israel in Gaza and Lebanon. He also presented Pakistan’s clear stance of supporting the Muslim brothers in both countries and also urged United Nations to perform its due role.
However, Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has made it clear that operation will continue and the killing of Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah was not final move. Gallant further said, “The elimination of Nasrallah is an important step, but it is not the final one. In order to ensure the return of Israel’s northern communities, we will employ all of our capabilities, and this includes you”, Gallant said while talking to the soldiers deployed at the northern border.
