Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the establishment of Pakistan’s first Tier Four data center at the Nawaz Sharif Information Technology City in Lahore.
As per detail, on May 2024, CM Maryam Nawaz laid down Nawaz Sharif IT City pans 853 acres including an IT and Tech District, Knowledge City, and Film City.
In the continuation of Nawaz Sharif IT City, CM Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting today to review the progress of the Nawaz Sharif IT City project in Lahore. She assigned the task to the Central Business District for establishing more international university campuses at the Nawaz Sharif IT City.
It was informed earlier in the meeting that Buckinghamshire University and Imperial College London have also agreed to build their campuses.in IT City, while universities from China, England, and other countries will also set up their campuses in IT City.
It is also informed that the international universities are ready to collaborate with an Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology University.
It is worth mentioning here that Maryam Nawaz also directed for the speedy completion of the Nawaz Sharif IT City Twin Towers.
