On Friday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir attended the Margalla Dialogue 2024 ceremony. He stated that minorities in other states are unsafe due to Indian extremist ideologies.
Reportedly, COAS General Asim Munir shared his views while addressing the Margalla Dialogue 2024 in Islamabad. The Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) organized this dialogue, and General Asim Munir was invited as the chief guest.
He criticized the Indian government for promoting extremist Hindu ideology worldwide, which has made minorities unsafe, especially in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. “India’s cruelty and brutality in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is also a continuation of Hindutva ideology and policy,” General Asim Munir added.
He further stated that India is supporting a global ‘extrajudicial’ network for target killings. They have target killers operating in Pakistan, Canada, and the US. The target killing of a prominent campaigner for a sovereign Sikh state and Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was a classic example of Indian terrorism on a global scale.
It is worth mentioning here that COAS Munir emphasized resilience as an important component of the National Action Plan aimed at “ending terrorism and extremism.”
