Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Friday met with Malaysia’s Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim. They both laid stresses on developing the military ties between both the countries.
Reportedly, COAS General Asim Munir met with Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim on Friday, October 4, 2024. They both talked about the military ties between both the states. They both agreed to boost military ties as Gen. Munir said “there is a need to increase bilateral ties, particularly military relations between the two brotherly countries.”
The Malaysian PM Ibrahim praised the role of Pakistani army in maintaining the regional peace and acknowledged their professionalism and sacrifices in countering terrorism.
According to the ISPR, PM Ibrahim also invited Gen Asim Munir to visit Malaysia and asked for stronger military collaboration between the two countries.
PM Ibrahim and Gen Munir thanked and appreciated each other’s efforts for improving bilateral ties.
Gen Munir also attended an investment-related event and an official dinner held in the honour of Malaysian prime minister at the Presidential Palace.
