Religious Affairs Minister Dr Noor ul Haq Qadri, in an interview with Radio Pakistan on Monday, said that the government was having dialogues with all the relevant stakeholders to be on the same page regarding the beginning of Ramazan and the dates of Eids.
He said that, to celebrate Eids on the same days across the country, a meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee would be held in Peshawar.
He further said that this time the government wanted to show national unity by sighting moon and celebrating Eids on the same days.
Replying to a question about adhering to COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs), he said that Mosques and Imambargahs were doing a wonderful job in making people aware of the SOPs and precautionary measures to curb the impacts of current wave.
He added that religious fraternity even from different sects was on the same page in following the SOPs issued by the government.
