Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif met with the delegation of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led by its Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) delegation led by its Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. It was decided in the meeting to host an All Parties Conference (APC) for the “unanimous condemnation” of Israeli genocide in the Middle East.
Reportedly, on Friday, October 4,2025, PM Shehbaz Sharif assured PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and JI Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman that October 7, 2024 will be observed as the “Day of Solidarity with Palestine”, when Hamas launched the attack on Israel last year. This day will express Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Palestine on the national level, he added.
During the meeting, it was also agreed to formulate a committee comprised of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, PPP’s Sherry Rehman and Nayyar Bukhari; and PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique to organize nationwide gatherings, seminars, conferences and protests to show solidarity with Palestine against the Israeli aggression.
It is worth mentioning here that it is the first time since Israeli genocide has started, when three leaders of different political parties have agreed to raise their voices against the ongoing oppression on Palestinians through one platform.
