Kashmiris will stage protests and hold rallies across the world today while observing October 27 as Black Day to condemn the placement of Indian forces in the Kashmir Valley on October 27, 1947.

Kashmiris in the whole world mark this day as black day to record their protest over the illegal occupation of India on the majority areas of the Kashmir Valley. They register their complaints with the world community against the atrocities and human rights violations being done by India in Kashmir.

The main event in this regard will be held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), an alliance of anti-India movements which are fighting for the freedom of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir on multiple national and international forums.

On this day, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has said in a message that on October 27, 1947, India occupied Kashmir while violating national and international laws.

He also said that Kashmiris living in both side of the line of control have never accepted this unlawful occupation as this invasion has brought bloodshed and atrocities to them.

He expressed gratitude to Pakistan for supporting the Kashmir cause on forever-basis and also appealed to the United Nations (UN) to implements its resolutions regarding the Himalyan region in a practical way. He also urged the UN to take concrete steps to end Indian violence in the occupied Kashmir.

He further said India has been continuously crushing Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in the region either by killing them or by restricting life to them but it has never succeeded in silencing the voice of Kashmiri people.

The AJK Government has also produced a TV paly regarding India’s illegal invasion of Kashmir and will air on both AJK TV and PTV Home on Sunday (tonight).
