Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome and Consul General Kristin Hawkins on September 23, 2024.
As per details, on Monday, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz met with U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome and Consul General Kristin Hawkins to discuss multiple areas of mutual interest.
The U.S. ambassador besides congratulating Maryam Nawaz on being elected as the first woman chief minister of Punjab stressed the need to enhance cooperation between both the countries in various sectors including trade.
Maryam Nawaz mentioned that Pakistan-US trade would create great impact on the overall economic growth of the Pakistan. She said the Government of Punjab was gaining significant progress in very short span of time in various areas including good governance, transparency, stable economy, war against extremism, and improved security which would ultimately impact Pakistan’s trade relations with US positively.
Ambassador Donald Bloom and US Consul General Kristin Hawkins discussed the future prospects of Pakistan-US trade relations by increasing the trade opportunities, investments and creating opportunities to strengthen the people-to-people relations of both the states.
The meeting was also attended by senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Rashid Nasrullah and others.
