The three separate blasts in South Waziristan Lower and Bannu caused the death of two civilians, one policeman and 18 were injured. Another blast occurred in the Daza Ghundai area of Wana on a Frontier Corps vehicle.
As per details, Two bombs were blasted in South Waziristan Lower and Bannu respectively. One blast took place on a check post in Dera Ismail Khan. Police informed the media that these are remote-controlled bomb blasts.
South Waziristan Lower District Police Officer Asif Bahader told the media that said that two civilians were killed and 18 people were injured.
The injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Wana, whereas two critically injured individuals, including a child, were transferred to Dera Ismail Khan for further treatment, he added.
The official further said that the initial investigations revealed that the explosive material was planted in a motorcycle, and placed in the crowded area causing widespread destruction. Shops and vehicles were also damaged in the blasts.
The second bomb blast took place in the Daza Ghundai area of Wana targeting a Frontier Corps vehicle, when they were busy investigating the earlier explosion. The injured were taken to Scouts Hospital of Wana.
