Pak-China economy to rise as liaison office unveiled in China

Sichuan Liaison Office of the China-Pakistan Council was unveiled in Chengdu, Sichuan province of China in 2020 to elevate China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation.

Since its establishment, Sichuan Liaison Office has contributed laboriously in the Pakistan-China friendship .

According to China Economic Net, Sichuan Liaison Office has planned several meetings including 11th China (Sichuan)-South and Southeast Asia Business Leaders’ Summit to mark the 70th glorious anniversary of mutual friendship and diplomatic knots of both the countries.

Pak-China support includes the donation of pandemic supplies to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu worth RMB 2 million ($306,400) in April 2020. China has also donated 25,000 face masks to Pakistani government a year ago in July.

The China-Pakistan Business Council, a bilateral economic and trade exchange mechanism, was jointly founded by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) under this liaison.

Basic purpose behind the establishment of this liaison office is to reinforce economy, trade cooperation and investment between both the countries.
