Pakistan carried out a counter-attack after Indian missiles hit cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
As per details, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that India had fired missiles at three places in Pakistan: Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli.
DG ISPR says child martyred and mosque targeted in Bahawalpur, two civilians martyred in Kotli, vows “Pakistan will respond to this at a time and place of its own choosing.”
Calling the attack shameful and cowardly, he said all Pakistani air force jets are now in the air. “India attacked from its own airspace and never entered Pakistan’s airspace,” he added.
He warned, “Pakistan will respond to this attack at a time and place of its choice. This act will not go unanswered.”
Lt Gen Chaudhry said that teams are still checking the damage, and more information will be shared soon.
After midnight, people near Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir heard loud explosions, according to Reuters. These blasts caused a power outage, leaving the city in darkness.
The military spokesperson said India may feel happy for now, but that will soon turn into deep regret.
it is worth mentioninh here that this happened at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are high. Recently, an attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir (Pahalgam) killed 26 tourists.
India blamed Pakistan without showing any proof.
Pakistan denied involvement and offered to take part in an independent investigation.
