President Dr. Arif Alvi has suggested Pakistan and China to go for a trade triangle with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to benefit from the intra-regional business prospects the most.
Talking online to the 17th China-ASEAN Expo arranged in Nanning, China on Friday, he said Pakistan’s business friendly environment and comfortable trade culture has appealed both China and the ASEAN countries to business in different areas.
He also said that Pakistan’s economy had gone upward despite the outbreak of COVID-19 and the trend of virtual business had increased due to effective policies of the government.
He further said that we appreciate the ASEAN countries and the business ventures from China to come to Pakistan and invest here as new business policies are very much in favour of the foreign investments.
He said Pakistan could export edibles like vegetables and meat, surgical instruments, minerals and IT related equipment to ASEAN countries and China.
