Superior bags 2 positions at Imagine Cup 2021, becomes regional winner

Startup teams from the Superior University participate in HEC-Microsoft Imagine Cup 2021 Competition every year on behalf of CMACED. This year, Superior teams reserved two positions one as regional winner and one as 1st runner-up.

Regional winner from the Center Region is Motovest; this is a startup of two students from the Superior University, Zeeshan Shahid and Iqra Amjad, who won the prize money of Rs. 50,000. 1st Runner-up from the Center Region is Elixs; this is a startup of three students, Dawood Ahmed, Mavra Mehmood & Junaid, from the Superior University & HEC-Microsoft Imagine Cup 2021. They won the prize money of Rs. 30,000.

HEC and Microsoft Strategic Partnership helps the students by providing access to fully licensed free-of-cost software tools necessary to develop their ideas into a product.

They help them by providing access to industry experts and leaders to provide mentorship. They give the students access to the Azure Cloud Computing Platform- to help students run their simulations and training algorithms in the cloud. They also give access to Microsoft Teams and Office 365 to help them with their hybrid learning journey.

Pakistan has been one of the top participating countries in the recent years both in participation as well as project quality in the Imagine Cup. Pakistan was the Global Semi Finalist in 2018, top participating country in MEA Country Cluster in 2018, 2020 & 2021.

Pakistan was also the highest participating country in the world in 2020 as 100+ universities submitted their projects with more than 200K projects and unique competitors. The country also among the very few countries who held regional & national level competitions.
