Saudi Minister for Investment Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Faleh on Thursday said that there is not limit to the possibilities of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

As per details, on October 9, 2024, a high-level Saudi delegation arrived on Islamabad Airport for a three-day visit to Pakistan to discuss mutual economic cooperation between the two countries. This delegation comprising 135 members is led by Saudi Minister for Investment Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Faleh.

While addressing at Pakistan Saudi Arabia Business Forum – Islamabad, Al Faleh said, “I think there are essentially no limits to what Saudi Arabia and Pakistan can do in the economic sphere, just like there are no limits to our friendship, to our bonds, to our historic relations.”

He also informed that around $2bn worth of MoUs and over 27 agreements would be signed today. The minister also praised Pakistan’s efforts during last two years in overcoming the economic difficulties. He assured that, “first and foremost, we want to support Pakistan in continuing its economic stabilisation. Without Pakistan reaching its economic stability, it’s very difficult to do things together.”

According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, both the countries (Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) would sign the agreements worth over $2 billion including trade, and investment pacts and some Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

Saudi dignitaries also honored Pakistan’s relation with Saudi Arabia stating that, “we are family not friends, we do not need any formal agreement. Our economy and social values are linked together, as around 2.5 million Pakistanis are working in Saudi Arabia”.
