Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned that a war with India could happen anytime.

As per details, on Wednesday, India launched missiles on different cities of Punjab.

On Tuesday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned that a war with India could happen anytime.

He said on Geo News that, “Pakistan is fully ready to respond with full force, and if India tries to take even a small part of our land, it will be a big mistake and they will pay a heavy price”.

Pak-Indo tension started with Pahalgam attack, when 26 people were killed on April 22 in an attack on tourists in Pahalgam.

India blamed Pakistan without showing any proof and took several steps to cut ties including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, cancelling visas for Pakistanis, and closing the Wagah-Attari border crossing.

In response, Pakistan expelled Indian diplomats, cancelled Indian visas (except for Sikh pilgrims), and shut its side of the main border crossing.

Pakistan denies any role in the attack and has offered to join a fair and open investigation.

Earlier that day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Defence Minister Asif visited the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters. They were briefed on Pakistan’s military readiness, especially due to India’s aggressive behavior along the eastern border.

The briefing covered military threats, hybrid warfare, and terrorist activity. Asif said that during the meeting, officials warned that Indian aggression is likely — but Pakistan is ready to respond strongly. He warned India that any act of aggression will have serious consequences.

Asif also sent a strong message about water disputes, saying, “If India tries to block Pakistan’s water, they will suffer themselves.” He warned that any Indian construction to stop water flow would be destroyed.

When asked about India’s plans, Asif replied, “They can dream all they want, but those dreams will never come true.” He said Pakistan won’t stay silent if threatened and is fully prepared to defend itself.

He also mentioned that Indian Rafale jets recently flew close to the border, but Pakistan’s systems successfully jammed them.
