Iranian President Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said on Tuesday that Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s poetry is loved and respected in Iran.
While talking to the students and faculty members at Government College University Lahore, he said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s poetry receives special love and affection in Iran.
He also said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy inherent ties in multiple aspects including religion, culture, history, and civilization.
He further said it’s imperative for Muslim nations to focus on sciences, arts, and technology so that they may compete with the developed nations in the world.
He said that Iran would increase its support towards Pakistan in multiple sectors including energy.
Dr Raisi praised the hospitality he enjoyed during his time spent in Lahore and thanked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for extending warm hospitality.
