Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in certain regions of Syria, stressing the need for a robust security framework to ensure long-term stability.
Reportedly, in addressing the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, voiced hope that Syria’s new leadership would steer the country toward peace, stability, and prosperity.
Ambassador Akram underscored the importance of preventing any resurgence of terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda, Daesh, and their affiliates, emphasizing the need for collective international efforts to maintain regional security.
