Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets in response to Indian missile strikes on cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.

As per details, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Indian planes fired missiles into Pakistani territory, prompting Pakistan to retaliate with air strikes.

“The Pakistani armed forces are giving a strong response to Indian aggression,” said the ISPR spokesperson.

According to security sources, Pakistan’s Air Force and Army are responding decisively to India’s attack.

Sources told Geo News that the deaths of innocent Pakistanis will be avenged, highlighting that only civilians have been targeted.

Images from the scene show that the victims were innocent, defenseless civilians, and every innocent Pakistani’s sacrifice will be avenged, sources added.

Lt Gen Chaudhry confirmed that India launched missile attacks on three locations: Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli. He condemned the attack, calling it “cowardly” and said the missiles came from inside India’s airspace.

“Our air force jets are in the air,” he said. “Pakistan will respond at a time and place of its choosing.”

Damage assessments are ongoing, and more details will be shared soon.

Late at night, loud explosions were heard in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, which led to a power outage. A military spokesperson said the temporary satisfaction India felt from the attack would be replaced by lasting grief.
