Reportedly, The Sialkot Dry Port in Sambrial transformed into a TIR centre with the support of the National Logistic Cooperation (NLC) and of the business community to not only provide exporters with direct access to Central Asia and Russia but will also create new opportunities in global trade.
With NLC’s service, sealed containers will travel without needing to be moved to another truck or unloaded at borders. During the journey, goods will be fully tracked and insured.
Business leaders praised this step, saying it will help deliver goods faster and at a lower cost. They added that this will make Pakistani exports more competitive in regional markets.
