The Sindh government and the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) have agreed on mutual collaboration to provide technical and vocational education to youth of the province.
The meeting was conducted between BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid and Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah in Karachi.
During the meeting, both signed the agreement under which both parties agreed to work jointly on equipping youth with relevant technical skills in accordance with market demand.
Rubina Khalid further informed the participants that around 2.5 million children are being provided educational scholarships in the province under BISP.

Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Laghari said that the circular debt decreased to 12 billion rupees.
As per details, Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Laghari issued a video message from his office, in which he highlighted the recovery rate of debt for the period from July to November 2024
He said in video message that the circular debt decreased to 12 billion rupees. 2,381 billion rupees for the period from July to November 2024 as the debt was 2,393 billion rupees on June 30, 2024.
The minister informed that there is significantly improving in the recovery rate for the period from July to November 2024 has reached 96%.
The power division proposed the federal cabinet revised agreements with eighteen more Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
The Cabinet Committee on Energy approved the Power Division’s summary, granting permission for a single-point power supply to Industrial States and Special Industrial Zones beside authorizing their management for giving connection, bill collection, and other related matters.
“The decision was made to address complaints from industrial zones and special industrial zones regarding the new connections and billing process”, said the minister.

While chairing a meeting of the Working Group on Establishment of Textile Parks in Pakistan, he highlighted the importance of investment into Pakistan’s textile sector
He issued the directives to the relevant departments to efficiently and effectively complete textile parks in the country.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also directed the authorities concerned to make endeavors to enhance investment in export-oriented industries in the country.

Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Madokhel has invited China’s business institutions to invest in the province’s mineral, agriculture, energy, tourism, and other sectors.
Reportedly, Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Madokhel has extended the invitation to the Chinese business community.
He expressed his desire during a meeting with Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong in Karachi.
He said Pakistan and China are determined to strengthen regional stability and security.
Jafar Khan Mandokhel said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a glaring example of cooperation between the two countries, which is bringing economic prosperity and development to the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an inquiry into a controversial post by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on its official X handle.
Reportedly, PIA celebrating the resumption of Europe flights after a four-year pause. To celebrate this moment PIA management team shared a post on its X in which the national flag carrier shared an image of a plane heading towards the Eiffel Tower with the French flag appearing in the background with caption “Paris, we are coming today”.
Soon the picture went viral and received widespread backlash due to its resemblance to the 9/11 terror attacks in the United States.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made the remarks while quoting the country’s chief executive during his address to the upper house of the parliament.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during the parliamentary session said,“The prime minister has directed [authorities] to investigate who conceived this ad. It is a stupidity.”
In addition to this, the deputy prime minister expressed concern over the caption of the post.

A mass wedding ceremony wherein one hundred Hindu couples tied the knot in Karachi.
Reportedly, at Karachi in the Railway Ground ,the Pakistan Hindu Council and Dr. Prem Kumar Setal Das Memorial Trust jointly organized the mass wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was held with the support of Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council and Head of the Dr. Prem Kumar Setal Das Memorial Trust Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani.
Dr. Ramesh Kumar informed the media that minorities enjoy complete religious freedom in Pakistan.
He also informed that 600 Hindu couples have been married through this initiative, and the council has committed to arranging the weddings of about 125 couples each year.

Supreme Court’s Justice (SCJ) Hasan Azhar Rizvi during the hearing of intra-court appeals if civilian trials in a military court case, remarked that people entering the corps commander’s house in Lahore was a total ‘security breach’.
As per details, on Tuesday, during the hearing of civilian trials in the military court case Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi remarked on May 9, 2023 in Lahore ,”Did people reach the Corps Commander’s house on May 9? People entering the Corps Commander’s House is indeed a security breach”.
During the hearing, Ministry of Defence counsel Khawaja Haris, said that the trial of civilians in the military court was not a sudden development as the law has existed since 1967.
Ministry of Defence counsel Khawaja Haris gave the reference of FB Ali case, adding that “even during peacetime, civilians interfering in military affairs would face trial in military courts”.
At this, Justice Azhar remarked that FB Ali case happened during the civil martial law.
The judge further inquired whether any military officer was tried for involvement in the events of May 9 as people entered the Corps Commander House because of security breech.
The judge questioned whether confrontation was put up when military installations were damaged on 9 May.
In response, the Ministry of Defence’s lawyer said that the “charges against the protesters pertain to causing property damage. No military officer was charged for the events of May 9, and complete restraint was observed to avoid any loss of life”.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah signed the Hajj 2025 agreement on Monday.
As per details, Pakistan has received one of the high Hajj quotas from Saudi Arabia as Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah signed the Hajj 2025 agreement in Jeddah.
As per the agreement,179,210 Pakistani pilgrims would perform the Hajj this year with special accommodation in Mina at reduced rates.
The Saudi minister assured to provide all possible support for better facilities to Pakistani pilgrims.
“A short Hajj programme of 20 to 25 days has been introduced to make the journey more accessible, easier, and comfortable which would enable pilgrims to choose their accommodation in Madinah for four to eight days”, Ministry for Religious Affairs stated.
Ministry for Religious Affairs said that the , “specially designed bag containing the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and relevant information would be given to each pilgrim”.
“The pilgrims would get all information via a special mobile app to stay updated about their Hajj groups, flight details, training schedules, live maps, location of sites, accommodations in Saudi Arabia”, the Ministry for Religious Affairs added.
According to Pakistan’s Hajj Policy 2025, women would have to get consent from their husbands or parents to register themselves for the annual. As per the directive of the Saudi government, children under 12 years would not be permitted to participate in the pilgrimage.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan ordered action against National Assembly Member (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat for publicly criticizing the party’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.
Reportedly, in the last few days, the two PTI party leaders, Sher Afzal Marwat and Salman Akram Raja, have been engaged in a war of words.
On one of the TV programs Salman Akram Raja remarked about the Sher Afzal Marwat ,”He (Marwat) is invited by different TV channels and daily he issues a statement, which has nothing to do with the party’s narrative or thinking. He does not comprehend the matters and every day says something”.
In the response of this statement, Sher Afzal Marwat directly asked the talk show anchor to, “clarify Raja’s relationship with PTI. When informed that the secretary general had been appointed by “Khan sahab. Have you seen any notification? According to the party constitution, only someone who has contested the intra-party elections can be its Secretary General.”
Marwat went on to say: “If we flout our own party’s constitution, how can we talk about the constitution of Pakistan? He [Raja], who is talking about my understanding of party matters, can’t be made secretary general this way. I tried to remain silent, but he crossed the red line.”
PTI Additional Secretary General Firdaus Shamim Naqvi issued the show-cause notice, accuses Marwat of, “violating party policy by making adverse and disparaging remarks about Raja and the ongoing negotiations with the government”.
The show-cause notice was issued on the clear directives from imprisoned Imran Khan.

The notice says that. “as a member of both the National Assembly and PTI’s core committee, Marwat is fully aware of the party’s policies, including the prohibition against making public comments against party office-bearers”.
“You have, amongst others, made disparaging remarks against the Secretary General of PTI and even made adverse comments on the ongoing negotiations. This is clear violation of the Party Policy and Instructions issued by Founding Chairman, Imran Khan,” the notice added.
Marwat has been given seven days to explain and respond to the notice.
In response to the notice, Marwat said,“On the advice of friends, I have decided to stay away from electronic media for a week or two”.
