COAS Asim Munir appreciates PAF’s war readiness

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday appreciated the role of inter-service collaboration for achieving the operational success during his visit to an air base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to examine the multinational exercise ‘Indus Shield-2024’.

As per Inter-Services Public Relations’ (ISPR) press release (PR), COAS General Syed Asim Munir visited the PAF air base to examine the ongoing multinational exercise ‘Indus Shield-2024’. It is the biggest multinational exercise in the region as 24 esteemed air forces participated for developing cooperation under the motto ‘Stronger When Together’, the PR said.

According to the PR, the COAS expressed his satisfaction over the combat readiness of Pakistan Air Force (PAF). He examined the exercise operations, static display in various areas, disruptive technologies, and fascinating aerial display by the PAF fighter jets.

The PR by ISPR further said that the chief of air staff thanked General Asim Munir for gracing the event with his presence. He said that the COAS’ arrivals would strengthen the pledge to enhance cooperation between army and air force in both training and operational areas. He briefed General Asim Munir on modernisation and indigenisation drive being carried out by the PAF through the induction of state-of-the-art weapon systems.

It is the worth mentioning here that General Asim Munir also interacted with the aircrew and appreciated the resolve of PAF personnel to safeguard the aerial frontiers of Pakistan.
