The federal cabinet on Sunday approved the draft of the long-awaited 26th constitutional amendment that was proposed by the government and its allied parties.
As per details, the draft of the 26th constitutional amendment was approved in the federal cabinet’s meeting that was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Law and Justice Minister Azam Nazir Tarar in the meeting gave a detailed briefing on the draft of the 26th constitutional amendment.
The prime minister terming the approval of the 26th amendment as a great achievement for the progress of Pakistan said that the federal cabinet had rightly decided in the favour of Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
The PM congratulated the nation as well and mentioned that the 26th constitutional amendment was made in the larger interest of the country and the nation. He said that the government had stabilized the economy first and now with this decision the milestone of constitutional stability would be achieved.
He further said that the government would keep working and struggling for the economic, political and constitutional stability of Pakistan.
He also thanked the allied parties of the government who supported the approval of the 26th constitutional amendment.
