Five khawarij were detained by the security forces in an intelligence based operation on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Balochistan’s district Pishin. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have lauded the security forces for their efforts in the eradication of terrorism from Pakistan.
As per Information Security Program Regulation’s (ISPR) press release, during the intelligence-based operation in the Balochistan’s district Pishin, a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including three suicide vests were seized. Five terrorists from Fitna al-Khawarij were also arrested; they were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians.
ISPR’s press release also informed that two Khwarij were killed in another operation in District Zhob on October 17, 2024 reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country and protect innocent civilians from terrorism.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces on their successful operation against Fitna al-Khawarij in Pishin and Zhob.
In their separate statements, they said the fight against terrorism will continue till the complete elimination of the menace of terrorism from the country.
It is worth mentioning here that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif an President Asif Ali Zardari both have appreciated the efforts of the armed forces in the eradication of terrorism from Pakistan. The PM also paid tribute to the security forces for conducting successful operations against terrorists in Balochistan’s districts of Pishin and Zhob.
The statement issued from the President office stated that the president lauded the professional skills of the security forces in conducting operations against Khawarij terrorists. The statement said quoting the president that “We will continue actions till complete eradication of Fitna al-Khawarij. The entire nation stands united with security forces in war against terrorism.”
