Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been displeased with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur’s meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Reportedly, Imran Khan voices his displeasure with CM Ali Amin over the meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in the meeting with senior PTI leaders at the facility. During the meeting, Imran Khan also discuss the political situation of the country.
As per media sources, Imran Khan was displeased with Ali Amin and believed that Ali Amin should take a firmer stand instead of accepting the appointment of a new inspector general of police (IGP) in the province.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz and the PTI’s women’s wing leader Kanwal Shauzab were part of meeting with the Imran. The party leaders also discuss the issue of arrests and harassment of PTI leaders and workers, particularly in Punjab.
It is worth mentioning here that the federal government had last week replaced Akhtar Hayat with Zulfiqar Hameed as the new IGP., due to the reports of failure to maintain law and order in the province over the last year.
