Pakistan Railways to run four special trains during Eid holidays

Pakistan Railways has announced to run four Eid special trains for the facilitation of passengers during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Talking to media at Railways Headquarters, Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer Aamir Ali Baloch revealed that four Eid special trains would be operating during Eid ul Fitr holidays for the ease and comfort of the passengers across Pakistan.

He also told the journalists that Pakistan Railways is financially independent and depends on the government only for the pension of the retired employees.

He also told the media about the recent increase in Pakistan Railways’ revenue that has gone from Rs 5 Billion to Rs 8 Billion.

He said that 50 percent of the expenses of Pakistan Railways are met through coal transportation adding that more efforts are needed to run the affairs smoothly.

He also said that more trains are needed in the system to meet the needs of the masses especially in smaller towns. He further said that there is no corruption in Pakistan Railways and serious efforts are being made to boost sales and revenue of this esteemed institution.

He also lauded the efforts of former Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq for giving a better version of Pakistan Railways. He acknowledged his efforts for the restoration of the tracks and revival of the profitable trains all over Pakistan.
