Newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz immediately after taking oath is continuously struggling to give maximum relief to the public of her province. So far her efforts are bearing fruit and the public opinion about her performance as first female CM in Pakistan is getting positive, suggests a survey conducted by Country Today (CT).
As per the survey, a majority of the public is hopeful of the initiatives taken by CM Maryam Nawaz and is anxious of getting positive results from them. While talking to CT, the public said that Maryam Nawaz is looking aggressive that is welcoming for the province and its people. They were also of the view that Maryam Nawaz understands Punjab’s culture and cult more than anyone else and she is politically trained for her current role.
From launching Nigheban Ramzan Relief Package to visiting the poor and holding meetings on different provincial departments, Maryam Nawaz seems committed to serving the province. Some people during the survey said that at least Maraym is visiting the places and trying to make things better. Some also said that this is the golden opportunity for Maryam Nawaz to get herself recognized as a leader and uplift the position of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in the province. Some said that it’s do or die for Maryam because if she does not come up to the expectations of the public in Punjab, it would be impossible for PML-N to get desired seats in the next elections.
Some people said that Maryam is lucky that former Punjab CM Usman Buzdar could not create that charisma among the public that Maryam can build now. They also said that currently Maryam is not facing any strong opposition in the province and this is the time when she can win the hearts of the people by serving them with dedication and commitment.
