Right now when the whole country is busy in enjoying Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9, the deaf cricket team of Pakistan have brought a great news to the country. The deaf cricket team have won the 14th T20 Deaf International Cricket World Cup that was played at Cricket Vision Center, Sharjah in United Arab Emirates.
As per details, the deaf cricket team of Pakistan have won the title of Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) T20 World Cup 2024 by beating Sri Lankan deaf cricket team.
Pakistani side while batting first made a total of 151 runs, while Sri Lankan team could score mere 63 runs in 16.5 overs.
A total of six deaf teams from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia participated in the event.
The final match was played at Sharjah, UAE in which Pakistani deaf team under the captaincy of Zaka Ahmed Qureshi beat Sri Lanka by 88 runs.
