Seven terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per details, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Sunday, that three “Khwarij” terrorists belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed overnight in IBOs conducted in the Maddi general area of Dera Ismail Khan and another four in the Mir Ali general area of North Waziristan.
The ISPR, the media wing of the military, stated in its statement that, “On night 8-9 February 2025, security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in general area Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan District on the reported presence of khwarij”.
“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, as a result of which, three khwarij, including Kharji Rehmat, were sent to hell, while two khwarij got injured,” the statement added.
“Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. In ensuing fire exchange, four Khwarij were effectively neutralised by the security forces, while three khwarij got injured,” the statement said.
According to the ISPR, sanitization operations were underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.
It is worth mentioning here that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful IBOs and eliminating seven terrorists. In a statement Shehbaz said that the “entire nation salutes our forces”.
