District Kasur President of Bulleh Shah Adabi Sangat Dr. Muhammad Riaz Anjum has said that the establishment of institutions like University of Kasur/Bulle Shah University Kasur, Kasur Arts Council and Bulleh Shah Adabi Chaupal in the historic city of Kasur is the need of the hour.
As per details, President of Bulleh Shah Adabi Sangat Dr. Muhammad Riaz Anjum is simultaneously a researcher, a journalist, a poet, a writer, a critic, a translator, a historian and an educator. He has a keen eye on the history of Kasur as he has been doing scholarly and literary services to Kasur for last twenty three years. He has got many awards including ‘The Best Book Award’ from the Government of Punjab.
He expressed these views while talking to the media exclusively. He said that since 2017 and 2021, he has been actively working for the establishment of Bulleh Shah Adabi Chaupal Kasur and Kasur Arts Council respectively. 49 years have passed since the establishment of Kasur district, but not a single university exists for male and female students.
He further informed the media that the political promises and notifications have been made many times, but the establishment has not been implemented yet. Even after being approved, Bulleh Shah University Kasur (or University of Kasur) in Chunian is sacrificed for politics.
He expressed his disappointment stating that time has proven that neither the university was established in Kasur nor in Chunian.
He also informed that even today, he requested the members of the National Assembly Sheikh Saad Waseem, Malik Rashid Ahmed Advocate, members of the Provincial Assembly Naeem Safdar Ansari, Malik Ahmed Saeed, Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas Gujjar, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan to play their role for the establishment of these institutions and raise their voice. Raise. Especially for the establishment of the University of Kasur so that its voters and supporters can benefit from such a priceless wealth of education.
He urged the journalist community, the lawyer community, the nation-builder community, the flag bearers of civil society, and students, etc. should also play their roles.
