Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is seeking help from foreign powers to get Imran Khan released and moved abroad.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reportedly claimed in an interview with a private media house that PTI is seeking help from foreign powers to get Imran Khan released and moved abroad on Tuesday.
PTI leaders are urging foreign powers to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs and free Imran Khan from the Adiala Jail. Some countries are also ready to welcome him, he added.
The remarks from Khawaja Asif have come in response to a letter written by the 60 members of the United States House of Representatives to Jeo Biden and over 20 British parliamentarians and United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy to a call for the release of Imran Khan.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI founder Imran Khan has been behind the bars for more than a year in the Toshakhana and other criminal cases.
