Lahore Leads University (LLU) has joined hands with Arfa Karim Foundation to announce Arfa Karim Merit Scholarships to the deserving students.
As per details, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between LLU and Arfa Karim Foundation on June 24, 2021 – Thursday at the meeting room of the university to offer Arfa Karim Merit Scholarships to the eligible students of LLU. Director Academics Dr Muhammad Nawaz from LLU and Col (rtd) Amjad Karim, Vice Chairman, Arfa Karif Foundation signed the MoU and exchanged the files.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by University Chairman Mian Zahoor Ahmed Wattoo, Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Shahid Soroya, Registrar Saeed Wattoo, Treasurer Faiz ul Bari, Deputy Registrar (Admissions) Abid Ali, Deputy Registrar (HR) Junaid Azhar, Deputy Registrar (Academics) Kazim Abbas, University Publications Director Professor Sultan Mahmood Niazi, Quality Assurance Department Director Dr Afzaal, Department of Computer Science Sardar Usman, Department of Information Technology Dr Rizwan and Campus Administrator AD Kashif attended the ceremony. University Publications Deputy Director Fraaz Mahmud Kasuri acted as the stage secretary of the ceremony.
Mian Zahoor Wattoo, in his address, officially announced the Arfa Karim Merit Scholarships and said that LLU would offer merit-based scholarships worth 10 million to the eligible per year. He also thanked the Mr and Mrs Amjad Karim Randhawa for joining hands with LLU.
Dr Shahid Soroya said the MoU would enable the deserving yet hardworking students to fulfill their dreams in a smooth way. He also directed the concerned departments to announce and implement the scholarships on immediate basis.
