Lahore Leads University’s (LLU) Department of Politics & International Relations in collaboration with Leads Current Affairs Society celebrated “International Day of Peace” with the theme of “Interfaith Harmony” on September 21, 2023.
Reportedly, Department of Politics & IR at LLU with the support of Leads Current Affairs Society organized a “Peace Walk” and “A Seminar on Interfaith Harmony” at the main campus of the university. God Bless TV Chairman and International Help Day Founder Wilson Asghar joined the event as Chief Guest. LLU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti and Department of Politics & IR Chairperson Dr. Khadeeja Imran presented a flower bouquet to the chief guest.
LLU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti, LLU Executive Director Hamza Wattoo, LLU Registrar Saeed Wattoo, Department of Politics & IR Chairperson Dr. Khadeeja Imran, Department of Islamic Studies Chairperson Dr. Iqbal Nikyana, Directorate of Publications Director Sultan Mahmood Niazi, LLU Treasurer Faiz ul Bari, Leads Current Affairs Society Advisor Sara Ahmad, Directorate of Placement Bureau Deputy Director Jawad Toor and other staff members along with a large number of students participated in the event.
The event started with the “Peace Walk” that culminated into the symbolic releasing of pigeons. ‘A Seminar on Interfaith Harmony’ was also organized where Wilson Asghar, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti, and Faiz ul Bari talked on the importance of peace and interfaith harmony in the society.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti and Dr. Khadeeja Imran presented a souvenir to the chief guest.
