Lahore Leads University (LLU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr. Mohammed Rafiq Baloch passed away on Wednesday here in Lahore.
According to the details, LLU VC Dr. Rafiq Baloch died of a cardiac arrest today on Wednesday at around 9:00am.
According to his younger son Muneef, Dr Rafiq was taken to the CMH Lahore after he had a heart attack at around 8:00am. The doctors after a thorough checkup said that he had expired even before reaching the hospital, he added. Dr Rafiq Baloch was currently serving as vice chancellor at LLU.
Namaz e Janaza of Dr. Rafiq Baloch was first offered on 1:30 pm in the central mosque of Askari 10, Lahore on Wednesday and then in the mosque of Shahbaz Town, Quetta at 10:00 am on Thursday. His body was laid to rest in the Cantonment graveyard Zarghoon Road, Quetta.

Dr Rafiq Baloch did Ph.D. in Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA in 2005 while earned Master and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science Education from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA in 1999 and Business Administration from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa, USA in 1998 respectively.
Previously working as director general (DG) at HEC’s Quality Assurance Agency, he contributed a lot in enriching the standards of education in Pakistan.
He had also led Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta and Baluchistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences, Quetta with distinguished positions.
