Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KPK) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur is marching towards Punjab with heavy machinery to remove all the barriers coming in his way. He is coming to Rawalpindi to address Pakistan Tareek Insaf’s (PTI) rally at Liaquat Bagh on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
As per details, Ali Amin Gandapur is on his way to address PTI’s rally at Liaquat Bagh today. As per media reports, he is bringing heavy machinery to remove the obstacles put up by the government of Punjab. To stop PTI from demonstrating a power show in Rawalpindi, Maryam Nawaz-led Punjab government has already imposed section 144 in Rawalpindi division for two days. In addition to that, containers have also been placed to block all the routes leading towards Liaquat Bagh.
Reportedly, one day earlier Punjab government wrote a letter to the federal government to increase security arrangements in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Attock. At least 23 entry points of Rawalpindi have been sealed and around 4,000 police personnel have been deployed at all the entry and exit points of Rawalpindi.
Earlier today, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari called a press conference to condemn all the actions of Ali Amin Gandapur. The person who is sitting in the jail is the mastermind of all these riots and conflicts between the provinces, she said.
Azma Burkhari further warned CM Ali Amin Gandapur not to take law in his hands otherwise the law will take its own course. This is a new plan of ‘Fitna Group’ to halt the progress of Pakistan, she added.
Ali Amin Gandapur while addressing the Punjab government said, “Do whatever you can; we are not afraid. Something big is about to happen.”
Currently, Punjab police are cracking down the Gandapur rally at Attock Motorway.
