Department of Politics & International Relations under the aegis of Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and supervision of Department of Politics & IR Chairperson Dr. Khadeeja Imran organized a seminar on ‘Palestine Issue: Challenges and Solutions’.
Keynote speaker Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Nikyana shed light on the Palestine issue, discussed its pros and cons and presented the possible solutions to the issue.
On the occasion, Lahore Leads University (LLU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti, LLU Chief Treasurer Faiz ul Bari, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences Dean Dr. Rafaqat Ali Akbar, and Department of Politics & IR Chairperson Dr. Khadeeja Imran issued a joint statement on the Palestine issue.
“We condemn all the acts of violence, discrimination, and human rights abuses in Palestine. Sufferings of Palestinians are very tragic and they would affect the generations in the times to come. We call for an immediate end to the violence in Palestine and ask for a just and peaceful solution to this long-standing conflict. We stand for the rights of all the Palestinians as they deserve peace, security, and respect by all means. We hope that a negotiated solution, based on the United Nations’ resolutions, will be achieved soon providing just and lasting peace to the people of Palestine”, the statement said.
